Windows guys are paid for keep Windows system running, not programming.
Why an employer would want something different from mainframe stuff?
They pay administrators (call them as you want) for keep the systems up
and running.
They also pay *application* programmers for developing business
applications. *Business*. And they are oftenly asked: "can't we simply
*buy* a solution, like Word or Excel?". And it's not always funny, it
sometimes makes a sense.
Oh, btw: this indention is platform neutral.
