I ran into this problem in the midst of whole boatload of overdue maintenance. The PTFs (UK72318 and UK72319) REQ each other and were obviously intended to be installed in the same APPLY. The PTFs were never marked PE even though IV05507 indicates that the 'defect' will be fixed with later service. HOLD data in the sysmods state that Java will be deleted and replaced but does not mention the zFS size problem.
The info APAR gives two possible workarounds. Option 2 is the one I took: manually delete a couple of huge files in the Java directories. I still had to use 'zfsadm grow' to force some secondary extents on the zFS because the pax script failed on insufficient space. APPLY finally ran clean, and 'java -version' works OK on the result. This problem will likely hit just about everyone because R13 ServerPac zFS allocations are not big enough to handle the install logic of these PTFs as constructed. You can exclude them both in APPLY jobs, but once you hit the problem, you need to fix it before going on. . .
