>How so? Are they sharing some dataset/JCL/Proc? Or is DFSPARM in an area in a >COBOL module?
I had a DF-Sort question and it was answered (sorted out so to say :-). Believe me, it's a complex and very dynamic system we're talking about here. I don't think it is useful to explain the gory details here; it would merely clutter up the list. Apart from the fact that in most cases the sort work space will be overallocated, there is no real drawback in using DYNALLOC=(dev, nnn) with a reasonably high nnn. We'll think about ways to change "nnn" depending on the estimated load (this is the tricky point), but that has low priority. Please, don't get me wrong. I very much appreciate all your suggestions. -- Peter Hunkeler ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
