Subject: SMP/E Panels and Mixed Case
Sent by: IBM Mainframe Discussion List <[email protected]>

(Does this belong in ISPF-L or IBM-MAIN?)

I have some CSECTS with mixed case names, so declared
in ++ MOD CSECT() parameters. I notice that in the ISPF SMP/E
panels their names are converted to UPPER CASE. I'm trying
to track down a problem where RESTORE is not generating
REPLACE statements for such CSECTs. Such behavior adds to
the confusion. I'll next try a batch listing to see what it tells me.

But needlessly modifying data in such manner is a disservice to
the customer; the days of upper-case only output devices are
deservedly past.
