The investigators didn't use fancy techniques to read residual
magnetization; they just restored from the backups. It seems that
those traitors[1][2] in the WH didn't understand the concept of
backups.
[1] Illegally selling weapons to Iran gave them aid and comfort; by
their own admission they are enemies of the United States.
[2] I'm much less concerned about the embezzlement than about the
treason.
