Then, I would write a rule in OPS/MVS (probably timer) that executes a REXX that will do the LISTDSI. Then when your values are reached, have OPS/MVS Submit the Compress. Or send an EMAIL to you/your team to take some action.
If you could post the attributes, we might be able to provide some PDS Tuning suggestions as well. I guess I am also curious as to why you have so much activity on a TCPIP dataset.
