You can also IPL stand-alone ICKDSF without specifying any load parm.
From "ICKDSF R17 (Device Support Facilities R17) User's Guide and Reference,
GC35-0033-36", "IPLing the Stand-Alone ICKDSF":
When IPLing the Stand-Alone, there are 2 methods that can be used:
* You can enter a load parm on the IPL panel (on supported processors)
prior to IPLing, to predefine the console that you want ICKDSF Stand-Alone to
use. When you use this method, ICKDSF Stand-Alone will attempt to use the
console you specified in the load parm.
* You can IPL the Stand-Alone without specifying a load parm. When you use
this method, ICKDSF interprets the first interrupt it receives as the console
device. Therefore, you must disconnect any device other than the console that
can generate an interrupt before IPLing ICKDSF Stand-Alone.
