If I understand what you want to do is to concatenate additional files to SORTIN, then I would strongly urge you NOT to do that in the E11. You can, but I would not be confident in the results. By the time the E11 exit is called a certain amount of analysis of the files has been done in the initialization phase. It would be better to have a program that does the concatenation and then invokes MFX. See the "Invoking MFX from a Program" chapter in the Programmers Guide.
