Of course the artist formerly known as CC is correct The binder doc really does not claim otherwise. The binder (and assembler) primarily support alignment of CSECTs within a load module (or program object) and when they spot an alignment greater than doubleword they change the module attributes to indicate page boundary. Specifically, there is no support for loading on "only" a quadword boundary.
