A few decades ago. Really my first time...I think from MVS 2.5...We did this 
without confirming fallback and compatibility APARs were on. It was not a 
pleasant experience and one I never repeated. Standalone restores and shutdowns 
and IPLs took at least 40 minutes each in that 3090.

If the fallback and compatibility stuff is applied, it isn’t a big deal.
