All of the 360S-xx-xxx numbers refer to components of OS/360. You can find some
of the manuals at http://bitsavers.org/pdf/ibm/360/os/cobol/. You can find
various editions of the bibliography ay
http://bitsavers.org/pdf/ibm/360/bibliography/.

360S-CB-545 is also known as COBOL (U) and came out on one of the last OS/360
releases.

5734-CB1 is versions 1 through 3

Sam, this is good stuff! I was looking for even older information and I found
a note about 1972 5734-CB2 ANS COBOL Version 4 but your list
fills in some more history! I wish I could find dates, but those products are
not in our IBM databases anywmore ... I googled 5734-CB1 and found an IBM book
with this in the title:

IBM OS Full American National Standard COBOL.: Program Numbers:
Version 2, 360S-CB-545; Version 3, 5734-CB1;
Version 4, 5734-CB2 (compiler and Library) 5734-LM2 (library Only).

So, that fills in some more:

360S-CB-545 COBOL is ANS COBOL V2
5734-CB1 is ANS COBOL V3
5734-CB2 is ANS COBOL V4

Cheers,
