@Peter, sometimes it is just intellectual curiosity.

I spent a half hour this morning reading the Vector instruction section of
the z15 PoOps. I have absolutely zero intent of ever writing a
vector-hardware-exploiting program in assembler. But I was just curious
about how those instructions worked.

I suspect some folks may have the same sort of curiosity about SIGP.

Curious: in what way is knowing how Linux issues SIGP of much use to 
anyone? Or the #defines to the order codes (all of those order codes are 
presumably well documented in the PoP)? Most SIGPs are not intended for 
use outside of the OS.
