We migrated one of our systems to z/OS 2.5 last weekend and immediately started getting a hard loop during job conversion/interpretation either in the JES2CIxx or INIT address space depending on your JOBDEF INTERPRET= setting.
The loop could occur with any batch job,but not every batch job. IBM has found the loop in module IEFNB903 and are looking at it. The looping condition only occurs if DSENQSHR is enabled for the job. In our case the JOBCLASS definitions had DSENQSHR=AUTO. Once we changed it to DSENQSHR=DISALLOW the problem no longer occurred.
