Sharing DASD from IODF/HCD perspective is a piece of cake.
Assuming you have separate IODF for z800 and z9 you should do
...nothing. Just plug cables from host to DASD box (and from second host
to DASD) and make the same definitions on both machines.
One thing to check: for the device parameters, in the OS Config you
should have Shared: Yes . It is default.
BTW: It would be nice to have single IODF for both machines. It would
save you work, assure consistency, make "single view".
Another thing is to use shared dasd by the operating system(s).
