Indeed. Several times I've offered to help ISPF folks create a PROFILE XEDIT that would make it work like ISPF; we've never gotten it off the ground, because reasons. I use ISPF but don't consider myself enough of a power user to do this on my own (whereas XEDIT I know *very* well, including internals).
