Hi Peter,

Are you asking if these parameters can be tuned or are you asking if they can
be tuned on the fly? They can be tuned but I believe it takes an IPL to do
so. Each addition of "1" in the ESQA parm adds 64K to the ESQA so to barely
cover the expansion you could change the 160 to 185 and IPL. I would ask
"why", though. I'm guessing you have plenty of ECSA so expanding SQA into CSA
isn't hurting anything. I seem to remember a long time ago that some people
actually advocated setting the SQA very small and letting the majority of SQA
overflow into the CSA. I don't know if anybody does that on purpose or not any
more.

Rex

Subject: [EXTERNAL] SQA overflow into CSA

Hello

One of our zOS system 2.4 message 'SQA overflow into CSA 1593k(RMF III).
Under MXI tool I can see ESQA shows a overflow value of 1593k.

Current SQA value in IEASYS00

12,160

CSA

2500,300000

Is it something I can retune the above parameter ?

Peter
