I found a problem where I had a job with two steps. step 1 unterse a file to a temporary file step 2 use DFDSS to "restore" from the untersed file.
When the temporary file is in VIO, I get a message from DFDSS *ADR025E (001)-DEVSU(03), INPUT DEVICE TYPE IS INVALID FOR TASK* If I use a non VIO dataset it works. (I guess ADRDSSU is not smart enough to handle VIO) When I add STORCLAS=SCNOVIO to my temporary file it does not use VIO. Looking in the SMS books, I cannot see where the STORCLAS says use VIO or not. Does anyone know where the use of VIO or not is defined in SMS?
