Not sure where it is now, but I once had a really nice Spanish-English
dictionary in which an impressive number of entries gave an impressive
number of alternate meanings for the word depending on the country you're
in.  Likewise the English-Spanish portion gave various Spanish words to
translate the English word.  Forget "lorry" and "truck", apparently Spanish
is even more so.

The term "Hispanic" encompasses a lot of very different cultures. Just as
there is no single Anglophone culture or single Francophone culture, there
is no single Hispanic culture. Even within a single country you can expect
major differences.
