X-Posted IBM-MAIN and RACF-L. Free certificate and SSL/TLS protocol class. I have done certificate classes a couple of times and they have been well received. Totally free, no salesman will call, not a slightly subtle product pitch.
The class is pure certificate and SSL/TLS technology. It is not “how to install an Intermediate certificate in RACF” but rather more along the lines of “what the heck are Intermediate certificates, and why are they in the picture?” I cover some underlying technologies like exactly how digital signatures work, and then go through the TLS protocol flow in detail, and finally touch on some additional topics like Quantum’s effect on encryption, cross-signed certificates, and so forth. This class will give you a real grounding in how certificates work. Lots of material. I joke that it is subtitled “60 slides in 60 minutes.” You have to register but I promise no obnoxious SPAM. This coming Tuesday at noon Eastern. “Certificates and SSL/TLS: A Look Under the Hood” http://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/event?oeidk=a07eja6u4ej20973fa6 Hope to see you there.
