Since there is no single "right way" to write a recovery routine, whether ESTAE-type or FRR, it borders on impossible to provide something definitive regarding "how to use it". There are tips, there are considerations, etc. It depends on what you want to accomplish. Aside from the assembler (and authorized assembler) services reference(s) for the relevant macros, the guidance is in the authorized assembler services guide's "Providing recovery" section. Perhaps you can share some of what you found difficult to understand (and/or what you found missing) so that the information can be improved. Maybe you have specific questions that are not addressed.
