Peter, You cannot convert a 10017 Cyl 3390-9 to a 32760 Cyl 3390-9.
You can use DFSMSdss or similar to physically copy from a 10017 Cyl to a 32760 Cyl volume, and this must be followed by a REFVTOC so the VTOC is aware of the new volume size. You cannot merge three volumes into one unless you do logical dataset copies. Another option would be to copy from 3390-9 to 3390-A of the same size and use Dynamic Volume Expansion to dynamically increase the size of the 3390-A as required. There is no rule or requirement for a 3390-A to be any specific size or have an extended Addressing area. Have a look at FDRPAS if you need to do this dynamically.
