Absolute judgments about right and wrong are hard to come by in situations like this one. Engineers of all kinds must and do compromise conflicting design goals, and these compromises always leave some people dissatisfied. Expression, even vigorous expression of this dissatisfaction is appropriate, but moral outrage is not.
