You're comments aren't relevant to today's workplace. The current proceedings have been available to anyone on the web for a long time. So you don't have to be a SHARE member or go anywhere to take advantage. Yes, you miss the interactive content and speaker(s), but many of the presentations (especially from people like Marna Walle and John Eells who cover migration and "what's new") have such great notes along with the slides, you'll still get a tremendous benefit just from looking at the "handouts".
