Hi, Do you want to change status from private to scratch, and as part of that to set SG=*SCRTCH* ?? Or something else?
If you have rmm as tape manager you can make the change driven from rmm commands, That will update TCDB and LM. Any change from private to scratch for a system managed volume also changes the storage group name to '*SCRTCH*' This is not a mask/generic value. It really is this value. In ISMF you can use a primary command to apply to all those tape volumes in the search results list. Once started, just walk away and dont worry about the batch.....
