The submit() function is Unix System Services, not REXX.

Will there ever be a day when OMVS is cleanly integrated with all of the legacy 
MVS facilities?

In a sense, ISPF is worse than TSO.  TSO fails wit a message and
a return code if attributes are wrong.  ISPF *quietly* truncates.  I
consider that data loss.

IIRC, TFM formerly mentioned the F,80 restriction.  I no longer
see it.  Did they fix it?

I suspect it took much resource to enhance the C/I, then ehey
didn't correspondingly fix SUBMIT.  Conway's Law.
