Seems as though you are attempting to treat the "symptom" as opposed to the "problem" - how about changing the MGMTCLAS, either with ALTER and/or with an SMS/ACS change.
Only to presume here that your objective is to prevent unintended dataset DELETION, due to a MGMTCLAS attribute having expired.... Sorry, just keyboarding out loud here !!
