Hello Allan, Thanks for your answer!
We have QuickRef, but it is frozen at the age of z/OS 2.1. My (ex-)company desperately wanted to save money :-) Because you mentioned LOOKAT, I googled it and found its successor: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/ibm-z-look-content-search-multi-product-edition It's a simple search front-end to the official IBM documentation. Searching for IXG210E generates the intitle:IXG210E search string that finds the message. But when I try a generic search like IXG, IXG*, IXG%, or IXG___E, it doesn't provide meaningful results. Maybe it works differently? I would also like to have access to a database where I could retrieve the message IDs and a brief message description (or the message "template"). I know that's probably too much in demand in a declining mainframe world :-) By the way: QuickRef is a great product.
