In reviewing BDT doc, it appears BDT can work with JES2 as well. Anyone using
BDT in JES2 environment - does it work as advertised?

BDT works just as well under JES2 as it does under JES3. IBM no longer delivers BDT starting with z/OS 3.1.

The only seamless BDT migration path is to install PHX-BDT, which became available back in 2021. It is based on IBM's BDT code and is 100% compatible. This is the path most BDT clients are taking since no JCL, application, or operational changes are necessary.

Likewise, the only seamless migration path for JES3 is JES3plus, which became available back in 2020. This dramatically-enhanced version of JES3 is based on IBM's JES3 code and is also 100% compatible. This is the path most JES3 clients are taking since no JCL, application, or operational changes are necessary.
