If the “chore” is assembling code from the Unix shell, then TSO is not very 
useful. You should follow Kirk’s advice and put your source in zFS files, and 
use the `make`, `as`, and `ld` commands. With the bonus that with everything in 
zFS files it’s trivial to use `git` for version control.

I can't remember the last time I had TSO without ISPF. With ISPF it's bog
