Or . . . work with your Comp Ops to project how many Operators would need to be hired to properly respond to all of the new message traffic and project out the increase to annual expense. Then see who wants to sign off on that. Setting the value to "command=ignore" wasn't what they told you to do, they said set it to "command=verify" and if nobody's willing to challenge them then play the $$ card and tell them exactly how much it will cost to do that which they insist must be done.
That said, FWIW, for all of the non-sysprog batch jobclasses we have "command=ignore". But in your case I'd hold that in my back pocket after presenting them with sticker shock just for the fun of it - but then I'm known for having a strange sense of fun. _______________________________________________________________________________ Karl S Huf | Senior Vice President | World Wide Technology 50 S LaSalle St, LQ-11, Chicago, IL 60603 | phone (312)630-6287 | [email protected] Please visit northerntrust.com CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This communication is confidential, may be privileged and is meant only for the intended recipient.
