There are eight generations of 3592 tape drives: TS1170 (Models 70F & 70S), 
TS1160 (Model 60G), TS1155 (Model 55G), TS1150 (Model E08), TS1140 (Model E07), 
TS1130 (Models E06 & EU6), TS1120 (Model E05), and J1A. All generations of 3592 
tape drives

TS1170 can hold 50TB in one cartridge in native format and near to 125TB 
compressed!!!

No. No vendor has physical tape attached to mainframe.
And very few still have tape as a backend to the VTS solution.
The last supported drive was TS1140.
STK/Sun/Oracle drives were withdrawn also and AFAIK before EOS of TS1140.
