Subject: How does HSM know its backup and spill volumes (VOLSERS)?

Hi,

I can list the defined BACKUP and SPILL volumes for our HSM system using these
commands:

TSO hsend q backup(daily)
which returns the below as the last line of output
ARC0164I DAY=01 VOLS = HSMTB2-A HSMTB1-F HSMTB0-A

and

TSO hsend q backup(spill)
which returns the below as the last line of output
ARC0164I SPILL VOLS = HSMTS0-F HSMTS2-A HSMTS1-A

However, I can't seem to find where these volumes are made known to HSM - there
are no obvious ADDVOL commands at startup time.

Is this information possibly "hardened" somewhere (in one of the control
datasets?) Or perhaps in an SMS construct?

I used to know but as the years pass by, memory fades...

Thanks!
