You missed the genius behind XDC X'00DEAD00'. If for some reason, XDC does not
capture the X'00DEAD00', you see DEAD in the console message containing the 6
bytess before & after the abend address and immediately think DIE in your
source code. No need to look at the dump and immediately analyze why XDC missed it.
On the other hand, if I see x'00C1', i think bad branch or storage overlay. As for
using characters, that's useless requiring I look at the character representation
in the dump.
