There are some tape-emulation solutions out there (CA-VTape, VTFM, etc.), BMC AMI Cloud (fka Model9) does not emulate tapes, nor does it manage tapes. We're simplifying the platform by removing the complexity of tape management, focusing on managing your data as it's written and read, rather than managing the underlying media it resides on.
