Hello Peter,

Yes, the best and simplest way I have found, is to use Mod-27s for most 
everything. You can lay down the RES, DLIB and USS files on a mod-27 each and 
have room left to grow.
The other files, SMP/E and CPAC, I put on a mod-27 by them self. Then the 
SMPPTS files (3) have their own mod-27 for maintenance going forward.

I have found this works well for us, and I can clone the RES and USS files 
after maintenance very easy to stage for the next IPL.
