GIT is good for some languages but not others. For HLASM, it's only slightly 
better than line numbers when merging changes from 4 developers. For example, a 
C developer will modify a function call but not the entire line nor major 
sequence changes. In HLASM, we may rethink the sequence and contents of a group 
of lines. How does it determine if R7 or R8 is the correct value?

GIT is designed for Unix packaging at release. It's incompatible for creating 
separate PTFs for each developer's changes.
