[1] - I believe there is a program somewhere on the CBTTAPE which you can use
to repair broken VBS datasets.
ICEGENER or similar tool will do the same thing.
BTW: I don't like monthly giant SMF archives. IMHO it's much better to
have daily datasets as members of GDG. Much better to search, one can
still have concatenation if needed. Last but not least: much less chance
for unsuccesful MOD and abend 002.
BTW2: It's really strange why IFASMFDP have no option like SPANINC. Is
it candidate for z/OS version 3.x in 2024?
