Right. We have a configuration data set that uses square brackets; we finally
bit the bullet and had it accept BOTH 1047 and 037 square brackets because we
were tired of having to explain to customers that they had the wrong ones.

Time machine item: Engrave Unicode 17 theology on gold tablets, bury somewhere
that the right people (whoever that is) will find them in the early 60s, so we
avoid all this mess...

Fine, you typed several codepages. Tell me where can I put "037" ? Is it
IEASYS00?
I can set codepage in Db2, I can use codepage in ISPF - that allows me to sort
and uppercase/lowercase polish characters.
I can set it in DFSORT job.
However none of the above is z/OS setting. It is valid for my session, DFSORT
job, etc.
