Right. We have a configuration data set that uses square brackets; we finally bit the bullet and had it accept BOTH 1047 and 037 square brackets because we were tired of having to explain to customers that they had the wrong ones.

I can set codepage in Db2, I can use codepage in ISPF - that allows me to sort and uppercase/lowercase polish characters. I can set it in DFSORT job. However none of the above is z/OS setting.
