JCL DISP=MOD and DYNALLOC MOD use very different serialization logic. If things 
haven't changed, then most OPEN, WRITE & CLOSE code does not provide this 
serialization either.

You should be able verify this by adding "READ AAA" after the PUTFILE in the 
clist and running the clist from 2 TSO sessions at the same time. I don't know the 
precise behavior but I vaguely remember missing lines when pressing enter to allow the 
clists to complete.

IMHO it is irrelevant since it is possible to use separate dataset per each proclib member. This is the thing you cut off ;-)

However I vaguely remain GRS contention caused by ALLOC FI statements from different CLISTs or REXX scripts.
