Dredging my memory... my recollection is that 6160 worked OK for both 3380 and 3390 geometries.
There was somewhere you could choose 3380 or 3390 track sizes. I'm not sure whether that was in the SMS space calculations or you could also choose 3380 for virtual disk devices.
