Well, that would mean you are using pre-z/990 machines, are you?
Note that using (pre)-historical machine models is neither illegal nor
impossible and the announcement will not change to much except you
cannot have any support *from IBM*. You can still use the machine, still
fix it or replace it it it broken.
BTW: I have three 9032-002's, none of them was under service ever.
Purchased in 2000 from a broker, 2 boxes were in production, third was
for "hot spare". During the years we repaired one of the boxes - failed
power supply was replaced (the box have redundant supplies).
