I very much agree with the principles of your idea, but the problem is politics can be on topic when a government entity (State, Nation, County, City) begins to entertain something that affects our ability to work or communicate, etc.

Religion can come into play when one is being impacted. Example being put on call when it is a Holy Day you are required to keep and resulting discussions.

    While in the USofA you might fall back on EEOC, it was not until fairly recently that the standard for reasonable accommodation was changed to be in favor of the employee and not the employer. Now, where I used to work, management would have to do scheduling that kept from putting me in the on call list from Friday evening to Saturday evening, or similar for a Holy Day...

But otherwise, I agree with the list you have below.
