I have been on the other side of that, when I worked for an ISV
that had acquired a subsidiary with a significant z customer base.
Acquiring company had little inclination to accommodate
deviation from its standard for Internet and DVD packaging
which were that a package for product or service must
consist of
o README.{txt|doc|pdf|html}
o payload.zip

I chose README.html and a zipped (needlessly, except
for the "standard") SMPPNTS directory.

I tested by unzipping on desktop and RECEIVE FROMNETWORK
using a desktop FTP server, or by uploading the SMPNTS
then RECEIVE FROMNTS.

Ironically, one customer complained that we didn't just deliver PDS
unloaded as NETDATA, "like IBM". He had an example, another
subsidiary recently acquired by IBM.

And while I had tested my DVD on a Windows desktop, a test
team member reported that with his Windows options he needed
to reply to an alert asking what to do with images, trademarks
I had supplied. I repackaged to avoid that message.

All in the infancy of RECEIVE ORDER, before it was supported
for ISVs.
