Earnings were down because they didn't sell enough boxes. Software was up 5% YoY. Hardware (aka Infrastructure) was down 7%. That's what Arvind got blasted over.

Because software sales were slow. Exactly what I’d expect because of AI and confirmed by CEO Arvind Krishna. Stock tanked 25%. Software companies are getting squeezed. Many will go away entirely. NVIDIA & other chip companies are thriving. The AI ramp up is only in the 2nd or 3rd inning. Should run to at least 2030 or longer. Funny that troll strategy. It hasn’t worked for at least 5 years. Plus, the pattern is repeated time after time. Reminds me of this cliche. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Often attributed to Einstein but he never said it.Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
