I find ignorance of the phrase 'nonce word' almost, but not quite, as amusing as others apparently found my use of it.
It is not a highfalutin phrase, and someone who announces his ignorance of it also announces his unfamiliarity with the cryptography literature. Ignorance and, still more, rejoicing in it are, finally, as defining as knowledge.
