I gave up on using the message tables and started having my messages all in the REXX. Since it is not too critical, I just let the rexes live in the library allocated by AXR and changed it there if necessary.

Is it a step too far to install it as an SMP/E usermod? I am thinking of deploying it to SAXREXEC (using a name alphabetically after I). However it also has a message table associated with it, which I could also maintain with SMP/E, but that message table has to be pushed through the HZSMSGEN utilitity to generate assembler source, which then needs to be assembled/linked into LINKLIB? Starting to look messy! Any thoughts gratefully received.
