Because the "Software Product Compatibility Reports" tool
http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/prodguid/v1r0/clarity/index.jsp
doesn't know anything (yet) about z/OS V2.1.
I did a fdbk about this. No answer yet.
But I'm sure z/OS V2.1 supports COBOL 4.2
Often in the announcement letters under "Software requirements" is
indicated such a thing as:
Version/Release xyz or later.
Didn' check the 4.2 announcement letter, but i'm sure the <or later' is
there.
