An even sadder story: a group made a mess of a migration scenario on some unix machine and had to roll back. Meanwhile they had put the backuptape op top of the machine, where it had become too hot and was unusable. The entire group had to work all weekend to get things up again. Were they beaten up by management for executing the migration in such a horrible way? No, they were rewarded restaurant tickets for working so hard during the weekend. Our group, with good procedures and backup scenario's which never caused a severe backup, considered for a moment to switch to the other way of working, we also wanted to 'earn' our restaurant tickets. In the end we did not, one has his pride (at least we did)...

For above Unix backups, there were NOTHING to restore at all. Not my problem. ;-) >I am digressing... You may.
