It is common for a nice function to be used, but still be undocumented until at
a later release.
Think ISRDDN. I learned of this thing by change before it was documented
eventually. Then IBM-MAIN threads appeared about that 'new undocumented thing'.

ISRDDN was not a z/OS component, it was simply a skunkworks project from
Doug Nadel.
