Because of the size of the XMTI file? Apart from that it doesn't help much since also the tersed file needs to be copied to the target system where it must be received into an FB1024 dataset. I did however use TERSE instead of XMIT when I had to move a couple of datasets: I first used DSS to dump all required data sets, then I used TERSE to make the dump data set transportable.
